Age of Sail museum enhances its exhibition with digital technology

A museum on a human scale
In Nova Scotia, the Age of Sail Museum is a museum complex in Port Greville, made up of several exhibition buildings retracing the history of logging and maritime navigation. These include a converted Methodist church, a naval building, an original working blacksmith's shop, a 1908 lighthouse, a wharf walkway and much more.
The museum wanted to find an original and innovative solution to convey the richness of its exhibits to visitors, and make their visit memorable.
Energizing an exhibition with an interactive history tour
The museum chose MySmartJourney to make its Forest and Sea exhibition interactive. By scanning the QR code-enhanced labels, visitors immerse themselves in the history of logging, shipbuilding and sailing through interactive experiences and discussions. In this way, they gain access to a wealth of virtual content that complements the physical exhibits and enriches the offering: archival images, audio, video, quizzes...
