Deploying rallies across the territory of Vallée-du-Richelieu

A summer activity
During the summer of 2021, Tourisme Vallée-du-Richelieu came up with the idea of producing three rallies combining road trips and discovery of the region.
The team needed to use technology that would allow them to create the circuit but would also work with the temporary nature of such an activity. For this, they decided to use technology already used for their tourist signs: MySmartJourney.
Fun and temporary content
With the solution, the team imagined circuits that invite tourists and residents to observe their surroundings at different locations. Posters enriched with QR codes and NFC chips were installed at various stops. Participants simply had to use their mobile phones to discover the question.
The questions can be in the form of quizzes or combinations, and they always require participants to look around to find the answer. Once the answer is found, a clue and an integrated Google map redirect to the location of the next stop. At the end of the rally, participants had the chance to win a participation prize, either an activity package in the region.
Once the summer season was over, the posters and supports were simply removed from the locations, and the QR codes could be reused for a new purpose.
