FR-FRLocknCharge uses MySmartJourney technology at an event
Charging your device during the Canadian Grand Prix
In 2018, during the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, LocknCharge set up at the event site to offer visitors smart, connected charging lockers for rent. Integrated with cloud-based software, LocknCharge lockers allow visitors to safely charge and store their electronic devices during an event.
The MySmartJourney solution was implemented to streamline the locker rental and payment process.
Rent a LocknCharge locker with MySmartJourney
The idea was to use technology to pay rental fees during the event, streamlining the process and making it faster for visitors. Specifically, visitors wishing to rent a locker simply had to activate the NFC chip or scan the QR code located at the entrance to the rental area. On their phone, they could then quickly complete the contactless payment process and receive a unique combination to securely pay and unlock the locker.
