The East Ontario Agri-Food Network is dedicated to developing the agri-food sector in the region. To showcase its members and introduce people to local producers, the organization came up with an innovative idea: to create a platform that allows people to discover, taste, and savor East Ontario in a new way by using MySmartJourney technology as part of the Savour East Ontario initiative.
Create an interactive experience for hikers on Prescott & Russell’s recreational trails
An innovative initiative has been launched for visitors to the recreational trails in Prescott & Russell. Member organizations of the Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network have installed signs with QR codes along a 72-kilometer stretch of trail. Hikers can easily access these interactive signs and discover a variety of useful information. This information includes the history of local producers, a Google map of the trail, a directory of restaurants, and places to rent e-bikes. Visitors can also easily find a producer, search for events, and explore the surrounding area.
