Seven generations of La Courgerie

A farm with a long history
One of the wishes of La Courgerie was to tell the story of the farm. Seven generations have succeeded one another on the land, and the owners wanted to highlight this family heritage.
Telling the story of five generations
La Courgerie produced a historical tour of the farm's territory. Thanks to QR codes placed in the fields, visitors can combine a walk, choosing their squash and discovering the environment.
Behind each QR code are archive photos, anecdotes and informations. It's a way of documenting the history of the region, the land and the family. Owner Pascale Coutu explains how the Courgerie project came about. But she also tells the story of the farm's past, which began as a dairy farm run by Pascale's parents, before she decided to buy it and grow squash with her husband Pierre Tremblay.
