A 100% virtual exhibition: a launch despite a pandemic
It had been planned that in May 2020, the Fugitives! exhibition would begin a Quebec tour at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. But the first lockdown occurs in March 2020: museums and schools are forbidden to open their doors until further notice.
Bounce back
As sponsor of the exhibition and its tour, the Commission des droits de la personne et de la jeunesse (CDPDJ) and Webster bounced back and decided to offer the multimedia version directly with our technological solution. Indeed, they realized that our web application could become the gateway to the 100% virtual version. It becomes a microsite. This new version is launched in August 2020. Result: Over 8,500 people attended the virtual launch of the project on Facebook.
