Launch of a new literary circuit by Culture Lanaudière
Highlighting artists from the Lanaudière region
Culture Lanaudière is an organization whose goal is to support the development of arts and culture, as well as the professionalization of artists in the region. With a focus on showcasing its artists, the organization came up with the idea of creating a trail that would allow interested and curious individuals to combine exploration of the region with discovery of authors.
For this purpose, Culture Lanaudière invited 6 authors from the region to a residency: André Jacob, Eveline Ménard, Jocelyn Jalette, Jocelyn Thouin, Marie-Soleil Roy, and Nathalie Rondeau. They were asked to choose a location and to imagine a story inspired by it. All of them engaged in the process and produced a short text. The only remaining tasks for the organization were to figure out how to deploy this circuit and to disseminate this unique content.
Creating an interactive circuit to combine tourism and artistic discovery
Culture Lanaudière chose to use the MySmartJourney solution, as it allowed them to embed content behind QR codes, as well as easily add audio and images to enhance the experience.
Enriched panels with QR codes were installed in the various locations chosen by the authors. Once scanned, the public has access to two podcasts: an audio recording of the author reading their text, accompanied by its transcription. In addition to this, there's an audio of an interview conducted by Audrey-Ann Gingras, which is part of a new project, "Inspiring Lanaudière," aimed at producing interviews with artists from Lanaudière of all disciplines.
