A new museum exhibition

In its new temporary exhibition “À la vôtre!”, the Musée d'histoire de Sherbrooke presents a 150-year history of alcohol and its social codes. Artifacts, advertising, newspaper articles and archival photos form the core of the exhibition.

With this exhibition, the museum also sought a way to highlight the microbreweries found in Sherbrooke in a way that would be fun for visitors.

Using randomness to promote the city's microbreweries

At a specific point in the exhibition, the public is invited to scan a QR code that sends them randomly to a presentation of one of Sherbrooke's microbreweries.

Each scan reveals a new microbrewery, from CoatCook to La Mare au Diable to West Shefford. Photos, text and URL links help visitors find out more about them and invite them to visit.

Visitors can try the same experience again and again, discovering new places to visit and new beverages to taste.
