The Accordion Museum enhances an exhibition through digital means
Highlighting cultural and musical heritage
Since 1992, the Accordion Museum has been a cultural institution guiding visitors in the discovery of this visually unique instrument. Boasting a collection of nearly 150 accordions and other related instruments, the museum showcases this cultural and musical heritage through a permanent exhibition launched in 2021, which the museum team chose to enhance by integrating a digital solution.
An interactive permanent exhibition for all audiences
The Accordion Museum's permanent exhibition, "L’accordéon sous toute ses notes!" presents the history of this instrument, as well as the cultures and musicians who created and developed its repertoire. During their visit, the public can explore 10 digital stations that explain how the accordion works, its Chinese origins, and its evolution over the centuries.
Additionally, a Youth Zone has been added to the exhibition with a digital station where children can listen to audios to find their favorite accordion and answer an embedded form on the platform. They can also watch music videos produced with accordions.
