The Aquarium du Québec integrates NFC into a children's activity

Creating a pathway for children
The Aquarium du Québec welcomes a varied public all year round, with a strong presence of children. The establishment wanted to offer them a fun, educational and digital activity to help them learn more about marine species and their ecosystems. The idea was to use MySmartJourney technology.
Using discreet NFC chips
The activity takes the form of a treasure hunt or clue. NFC chips are scattered on posters placed in different parts of the Aquarium's main pavilion. Children are invited to activate a token once, and answer the initial quiz question, which appears on their devices (touch tablets or cell phones).
The questions asked allow them to learn more about the Aquarium's species and their links with native legends, unusual facts or the danger posed by humans to the fragile marine ecosystem. After each question, a clue is sent to the next location and to the next token to be found.
