The Complexe Desjardins offers interactive exhibitions
More than a shopping space
The Complexe Desjardins is more than just a shopping center. Throughout the year, it provides cultural installations and temporary exhibitions. In August 2020, the complex had the idea of deploying a photography exhibition, 'Notre fleuve à vol d'oiseau' (Our River from a Bird's Eye View), created by historian and photographer Pierre Lahoud, and enhanced by MySmartJourney technology.
A cultural space
A pathway through the exhibition was set up. Panels enriched with QR codes provide access to exclusive content. To complement the photos, the Complexe Desjardins chose to integrate texts written by geographer Henri Dorion into the platform. Audios and additional information about the St. Lawrence River complete the exhibition.
The technology also allowed the complex to enhance the installation of the Nuit d'Afrique Festival, deployed in the summer of 2020. Behind the QR codes, visitors could discover artists from the African continent. Videos of their songs, biographies, and additional information accompanied the content.
