A region that tells its own story

The Municipalité Régionale de Comté (MRC) des Etchemins is made up of 13 municipalities, each with its own unique history and heritage. The organization wanted to showcase these different places and enable tourists, as well as local residents, to discover them.

In MySmartJourney's solution, the MRC team found all the tools they needed to bring their cultural and tourism project to fruition.

Their idea was to create heritage circuits in the various municipalities. Signs enhanced with QR codes were deployed at selected buildings. The content integrated behind these enriched panels enables walkers to learn more about the built heritage, as well as its history. Quizzes, archive photos, videos and audio enhance the content. From St-Camille's almost one-hundred-year-old store, to Sainte-Aurélie's presbytery chapel, to the Site historique des Pères Trappistes de Ste-Justine, visitors can tell their own stories using their cell phones.
