Digital Technology Gets the Word Out for Virées gourmandes de la Montérégie
Adapting to the Pandemic
For 2 years, the SME support agency Expansion PME has been offering exclusive food boxes in a program called Virées gourmandes de la Montérégie. It’s a way to connect agricultural producers in the Montérégie with a customer base that could not travel during the pandemic. They wanted to offer a more complete customer experience and looked for a tool that would create a personal touch.
An Enriched Customer Experience
They decided to enrich the physical experience with a digital solution. They very simply put QR codes on the products in the gourmet food boxes. The codes led to more in depth information about Montérégie producers like Talullah teas and the story of Fromagerie Au gré des champs.
A QR-coded promotional postcard also went into the box. That leads to information about the new products to come in the four boxes sent out between October and March.
