Every year, Lumière sur l’Art easily renews the content of its exhibition

Don't weigh down a structure that is already difficult to change
In rolling out the Lumière sur l'Art project, the SDC of the Montcalm district, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, and the city of Quebec City chose to renew the exhibition every year. The giant lampshades are therefore dismantled and reassembled to install the new works. The street lamp structure is imposing, not only to make it highly visible, but also to ensure its resistance to the elements.
When it came to adding digital interaction to the project, the various partners sought a solution that was easy to install, modify, and sustainable.
Rapid renewal
The Montcalm neighborhood SDC found MySmartJourney to be the perfect technology for the project. The content is integrated into a platform and linked to QR codes and NFC chips.
When a new season of Lumière sur l'Art begins, all you have to do is modify the content on the platform, and it updates instantly. Made of Alupanel, the enriched sign stands the test of time: either it is generic and can be easily modified, or only the vinyl is changed.
On the structure, the QR code is printed on vinyl, stuck to a metal plate, and the NFC chip is then stuck to the vinyl. When it is time to change it, the old vinyl is removed to make way for the new one with the artist's new colors, and the NFC chip is stuck back on.
