Enhancing the Book Fair

The Bonaventure Book Fair, which took place from October 21 to 24, 2021, decided to enhance its event by introducing a brand new digital activity. The idea was to promote children's literature to schools and young people. To do this, the Fair team chose to combine walks and children's literature with Literary Walks.

Offer an activity for children

At four specific locations, a sign with QR codes invites kids to scan and learn about the story of Lilou the otter and Gontrand the seagull, find out how to turn a banana into a bike, or listen to Native American legends.

On their phones or tablets, kids can access content made just for them. Audio recordings set the mood of the book with original music and page-by-page readings. Below some of the audio recordings, children can also learn more about the book's author and illustrator, as well as discover small activities related to the story, such as how to tell the difference between a seagull and a gull, or little anecdotes about otters.
