The Accordion Museum simplifies its process during the Montmagny International Accordion Festival
A need for management
During the Montmagny International Accordion Festival, nearly 80 artists from all around the world are invited to perform in front of the audience. The presence of so many people requires the Carrefour team to organize meals for them during the three days of the festival.
To facilitate organization, the Carrefour has enlisted a caterer to provide meals for the artists. However, this setup posed challenges for the team in monitoring meal usage, particularly as not all artists required meals daily.
The Montmagny International Accordion Festival needed a user-friendly tool that would allow them to track how many people came to eat.
An easy-to-use tool for the contractor
The answer was MySmartJourney. The organization was already using the technology in the Accordion Museum, so they already knew how it worked. Their idea was to create four QR codes, each indicating when the person wearing it could go for a meal — either every day from Friday to Sunday, only on Saturday, or for the entire weekend.
From there, when an artist arrives at the caterer's canteen, they just need to scan with their phone to see if this person has access. There's no need for them to keep attendance lists and look for the names of artists, saving time for both the team and the artists.
Additionally, thanks to the analytics collected by the platform, the Accordion Museum can determine how many people actually came to eat at the canteen, enabling them to manage food waste for the coming years.
