Poetry GO! enhances the Festival de la Poésie de Montréal experience

An annual festival
The Festival de la poésie de Montréal is an annual event that invites you to discover poetry from Quebec and French-speaking countries around the world. Every spring, it seeks to make poetry accessible to as many people as possible. In 2020, the festival team wondered how to enhance the event in Quebec by adding a digital dimension, particularly in view of the pandemic.
A first test in a library
The idea was to deploy posters enhanced with QR codes and NFC chips on the walls of the Monique-Corriveau library. Each poster was linked to a poet, providing access to more information, an excerpt from a poem, discovery of the work, and the option of sharing on Facebook.
A way to discover the work of a Quebec author, while offering the possibility of acquiring one or more of his books in the library.
