The Boréalis Museum creates an interactive murder mystery

Offering visitors an immersive and participatory experience
Boréalis is a major tourist attraction in Mauricie, offering a rich and rewarding experience. This former industrial heritage site, now converted into a museum, allows visitors to discover the history of paper in an immersive and interactive way.
A traditional murder mystery requires a lot of resources and is very expensive. That's why the museum sought a solution to make a fun and enigmatic activity viable and permanent.
Historical digital activity at the Boréalis Museum
Boréalis has therefore set up a pilot project with MySmartJourney in the form of a digital murder mystery: “In Search of a Missing Worker.” This is a new kind of police investigation, since it is digital and takes place in the authentic setting of the Boréalis paper industry museum.
The tour works with tags scattered throughout the museum. Video clips guide visitors through the museum, triggering the right content at the right time via QR codes. Participants use their smartphones to search the museum for clues and evidence that may have been left at the crime scene and could help them solve the mystery.
A solution that adapts to any type of organization
Murder Mystery is a unique activity that offers an immersive and entertaining experience during the visit. This captivating activity can be adapted to any location, audience, or organization. Immerse your visitors in a thrilling investigation where they must solve a fascinating mystery using their powers of observation and teamwork.
