Free activities limited by the number of people

The PiXii Festival takes place every year in La Rochelle. During the festival, the public can discover digital experiences, in virtual or augmented reality, installed in the city's heritage buildings. The experiences are free of charge, but a limited number of people can attend at any one time. For this reason, the PiXii team has collaborated with MySmartJourney to offer a digital experience that can be deployed on the phone and used during queues.

Offering a digital activity to complement the PiXii offer

Tourist and cultural mediation took the form of panels scattered around the locations used for the experiences. As visitors wait their turn for the virtual reality experience, they can scan the QR code or activate the NFC chip.

This takes them to an interface where they can choose between several activities. They can find the other digital works thanks to a Google Map customized for the event, learn more about the place where the experience is taking place thanks to a game, but also familiarize themselves with the work thanks to videos and testimonials from the designers.
