Tourism Edmunston tells the story of the city

A history to tell
The Madawaska region has a rich history of illustrious characters and events. For Tourisme Edmundston, the challenge was to find a way to inform visitors, tourists and locals alike of the riches to be discovered, and to convey rich historical information to them wherever they were.
With MySmartJourney's technology, they found a flexible, easy-to-use platform for creating a heritage trail throughout the region.
A journey for visitors and citizens
The tourist office's idea was to place posters bearing QR codes at points of interest. In the colors of the “Inspire” brand identity created by Edmundston Tourism, they are distributed throughout the territory, providing a landmark for walkers.
Each poster allows visitors to learn more about the historical heritage that surrounds them. Enriched with text, archival images and quizzes, they pay tribute to the region's pioneers and places of importance, from the founder of a wooden church to the Grande-Rivière Museum and the Méruimticook Trail.
A way to pass on the region's history to citizens and visitors alike.
