Saint-Charles-Borromée creates a digital tour of the town

A town that embraces digital technology
The municipality of Saint-Charles-Borromée wanted to create several tours of the town to tell its story to tourists and residents alike. The team turned to MySmartJourney to develop its web application, in collaboration with Living Lab Lanaudière.
Without replacing traditional print tools, the digital solution is seen rather as a clever complement to reduce the use of paper and become a hobby.
A web application to showcase a region's heritage
The application, entitled Facile à vivre! offers a variety of digital routes through the city, with several stations: an interpretation trail, a garden tour, a graffiti mural and summer programming.
Content can be accessed either by activating the NFC chip auto-trigger, scanning the QR code or manually entering the URL address on the device. At each station, visitors discover different facets of the city and can choose content according to their interests. Visitors can discover exclusive content on the city's summer programming, explore the gardens and Maison Antoine-Lacombe in a new way, and enhance the city's cultural offering with an ephemeral graffiti mural, where everyone can add their own personal touch.
This additional information will change with the seasons, depending on the location of the stations and current programming.
