Innovating to better serve customers in the pandemic

It’s no secret that the global pandemic had a massive impact on the hotel industry ever since it arrived in the spring of 2020. Neither is it a secret that the Hotel Monville, a member of AHGM (Hotel Association of Greater Montréal), is an innovation leader. With MT Lab and AHGM networking innovation players in the tourism industry, the Monville teamed up with MySmartJourney to create the first contactless customer experience.

Seamless, Contactless Room Service

Among the various possibilities for making the most of the MySmartJourney platform, the experienced professionals at the Hotel Monville and the Hotel Gault, led by Jean-Cédric Callies, tackled a pressing issue: the need for guests to physically touch things, from check-in time at the lobby to settling down in their rooms. In addition to a Covid-19 register with QR codes that can be scanned by phone, the Monville employed the user-friendly MySmartJourney platform to let you order room service on your mobile! 


With full control of content creation and management, they developed a number of delightful guest experiences with fun, personalized messaging and the star of the show: H2M2 🤖! Their robot attendant delivers room service to your door, just one of the ways they turned a restriction-heavy time into a memorable hotel experience. By investing in the innovation of contactless web technology, they identified customer service opportunities and continue to do so. It’s just the beginning…
