A easily modifiable physical tourist route in the Vallée-du-Richelieu

A tourist route consisting of 15 points
Tourisme Vallée-du-Richelieu has conceived a route consisting of 15 points scattered throughout the various municipalities of its region. Supported by MySmartJourney technology, the easily identifiable signs have been placed in strategic locations. However, the tourist office wanted to maintain flexibility regarding their placements without sacrificing durability. Thus, they came up with the idea of producing signs that combine functionality with weather resistance.
Mobile tourist terminals
Firstly, they chose to produce movable signs. The signs, enriched with QR codes and NFC chips, are installed on a concrete base heavy enough to withstand the wind, yet light enough to be moved by blue-collar workers with a crane. The panel itself is made of laminated aluminum, allowing it to withstand outdoor conditions without concern for the weather.
The mobility of these terminals allows the tourist office to adjust the route according to the seasons, events, and its needs.
To catch the eye of passersby, Tourisme Vallée-du-Richelieu opted for bright colors, such as red, and paired them with a short and impactful text inviting people to scan and discover the associated content: "Come on! Discover our vibrant experiences!"
