Destination Rennes offers guided tours of Bécherel all year round
A seasonal tourism offer
Destination Rennes manages Bécherel's tourist attractions and offers guided tours of the town. Tourist guides are sent out to the area according to a pre-established schedule. But Bécherel receives tourists all year round.
So how can we offer our visitors a service similar to that provided by the guides, outside the tour dates?
A 24/7 visitor service
The tourist office has come up with the idea of supporting its teams by proposing a touristic itinerary that unfolds throughout the city. Signs enhanced with QR codes and NFC chips are installed near tourist attractions to capture visitors' attention.
When they scan or activate the chip, they have access to fun content devised by the Destination Rennes team. Each station invites visitors to look around and search for clues to answer quizzes. These include the Jardin de Thabor, the city's highest point; the 16th-century spinning mill house; and the base of the medieval castle keep, which has now disappeared.
